Proposed Regulation Change Which Affects Some Areas in Region 7.
FYI, below is notice of a proposed regulation change which affects some areas
in Region 7.
The biggest change in Region 7 has to do with the creation of a new WMU 7P from
parts of 7M and 7S.
DEC has recently submitted a regulatory proposal to amend boundaries of wildlife
management units (WMUs) to meet game species management needs. The proposed
changes will result in a reduction from the current 96 WMUs to 92 WMUs. Several
of the proposed changes will also result in changes to game species seasons
(both trapping and hunting) incidental to the WMU boundary changes. We have
